Meet Etienne & Melissa
We’re Etienne and Melissa, a duo from Canada who met in 2016 and fell in love. Our story is one of resilience, reinvention, and a shared dream to live life on our terms while helping others do the same.
Before we teamed up, life looked different. Etienne was a welder and pipefitter in Northern Alberta’s oil fields, where long hours kept him from watching his kids grow up and strained his past marriage. When he got a second chance, he vowed to build a life with freedom—work he could do anywhere, anytime.
Melissa, an artist from Saskatchewan, was a single mom struggling to make ends meet. She dreamed of more—travel, opportunities for her kids, and financial stability. Together, we set out to break free from the grind and create something meaningful.
Our online journey began in early 2017. We dove into courses on email marketing, social media, and website development, launching businesses based on what we learned. Some hit roadblocks; others just weren’t the right fit. We didn’t just want freedom for ourselves—we wanted a path we could share with others to escape the “matrix” too. That’s when we stumbled into multi-level marketing (MLM). The structure seemed promising—teams, mentors, growth. But the reality? Products didn’t work for us, tasted off, or felt overpriced for what they delivered. Plus, saturating our circles with the same opportunity wasn’t sustainable or duplicatable. We knew there HAD to be something out there which checked all the boxes.
Next, we tried automated forex trading. It worked—until the SEC shut it down and our money vanished. Then came automated digital and affiliate marketing—great until war disrupted the company, and poof, all of our money was gone or locked up.
We hit a wall.
Etienne dabbled in forex trading and spent hours trying to understand how it all worked. Investing into different bots or signals.
Melissa explored dropshipping, print-on-demand, Amazon stores, influencer marketing, and reselling digital products. These either fizzled out, required a ridiculous amount of time to see some funds return, or weren’t replicable enough to be shared widely.
Along the way, we ventured into cryptocurrencies and mining nodes, including Gala Games, where we snagged a Founder’s Node. It’s held steady through market swings, but the high cost and slow project pace have made it inaccessible and uninteresting for most.
Mining nodes, though, caught our attention. You’re always earning more tokens without buying more, and everyone’s node mines equally—no sales skills or social media fame are required.
It’s a level playing field, and we loved that.
We leaned on small affiliates like Shakepay and Koho for a while, but nothing game-changing. Then, in March 2024, a friend introduced us to BitHarvest. Burned by past flops, we were skeptical. We’d poured effort into projects that collapsed or got rug-pulled, and we hated seeing those around us hurt.
BitHarvest was new—unproven.
We waited, researched, and turned over every stone.
By August 2024, our friend’s success convinced us to jump in. Since then, it’s been a game-changer.

We’re especially excited about this project and we can’t wait to see where they go next.
This March, they’re celebrating their one-year anniversary in Macau, China, and we’re thrilled to have scored tickets (details still coming together). While we’re in the region, we’ll tour their head office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and training office in Hanoi, Vietnam.
True to our motto—Live Life to Its Fullest—we’ve got sightseeing and adventures planned, and picked up some top-notch gear to share it all with you.
This is a great opportunity for us to launch our travel blog to not only share our adventures with the world but to create an amazing way for us to document our adventures. This way when we’re old and grey, we can sit down with our grandchildren and reminisce.
